Just when we were wondering if summer would ever arrive – it did! Perfectly timed for the half-term week, and such a relief to seasonal traders as the warmth tempted out the tourists.

A grey seal with a white ring digging deeply into her neck, nicknamed Mrs Vicar, was finally caught by members of the Friends of Horsey Seals rescue team on Easter Monday after two and a half years of trying.

A huge pat on the back to a sixteen-year-old young lady from Hertfordshire, who did a very good thing when visiting Horsey seals with her family recently.

Sadly, our Rescue Team is seeing an increasing number of seals turning up entangled in our waste. This poor seal turned up on Horsey beach with a nylon cord tightly wound around its neck, cutting into its flesh.
