Royal Mail has launched a new set of 10 stamps to celebrate the beautiful and surprising wildlife of our coastal seas and shores. Among them is an adorable photo of a Grey seal pup taken by Norwich based wildlife photographer Robin Chittenden.
The photographer has won many prestigious awards for his work and when we spoke to him, he told us that the photo was taken in 2005 on Horsey beach and that he was honoured and surprised when Royal Mail and Professor David Sims from the Marine Biological Association in Plymouth approached him seeking permission to use his photograph.
Professor Sims says “The stamps are a great opportunity to celebrate the UK’s wonderfully diverse marine life but also to acknowledge our responsibility to protect these increasingly impacted species and ecosystems.
The stamps can be purchased in a number of formats including a special presentation pack and are on sale now. Click here to visit Royal Mail.
