We rescued another seal today with green netting tangled around its neck which had caused a deep wound. It followed an early call to our FoHS Rescue Team. One member went out to see what the situation was and found the seal was in a catchable position on the outside edge of a group of other seals, about 10 metres from the sea. The rest of the team was quickly mobilised while another member checked with the RSPCA East Winch Wildlife Centre to see if there was space for her if we caught her. As you will see in the video, she was very feisty but eventually, the team captured her and were able to get her off the beach using our specially designed stretcher trolley. She was transported to the East Winch centre where a vet cut the net off and staff will treat her wounds. Special thanks must go to members of the public who helped our team push the trolley off the beach!
