It was no accident that we became known as Friends of Horsey Seals. From the very beginning, when we took over protecting the seal colony from the project started by Natural England and the Broads Authority in 2011, it was the support of the people who became Friends that paid for the work we were doing.
And today Friends subscriptions continue to help us pay for wardening during the pupping and moulting seasons, rescuing sick and injured seals and campaigning for the long term safety of the colony.
Becoming a Friend makes a real difference. It not only goes towards our efforts to help the seals at Horsey and Winterton but you are also actively participating in national and international initiatives to try and secure the long term survival of seals for future generations. For your annual subscription of £12 per year, which covers you and your household, you will be sent a Friends password which gives you access to exclusive Friends content on the website – you will be able to log into padlock protected areas and see Friends only content including a quarterly online newsletter, extra news and previews of up-and-coming events plus more detailed information about the seals and our work.
