Protecting the dunes at Winterton

The dunes at Winterton have seen an increase in footfall over the Christmas period, especially in two areas where members of the public have been using them to get to the beach from past the fisherman’s huts.

Peter and Billy have now roped off this area to help protect them from further erosion.

We’d ask all visitors to please keep to the paths that lead down to the beach and not slide down the dunes or allow children to climb up and down them as they’re very fragile.
