The Friends of Horsey Seals rescue team was called out following reports that a little pup had been hanging around Cart Gap over the weekend alone with no mum in sight. By the time they located it, the tide was coming in rapidly and there was a risk that the little one could be swept out to sea with the tide.
So our rescuers picked him up and luckily there was space at the RSPCA Wildlife Centre at East Winch for him. He was weighed on arrival and was just above the birth weight at 13 kilos. Staff at the centre have nicknamed him Michael Angelo and he is now safe and receiving the best care possible and being fed at frequent and regular intervals.
