… and it’s a family affair!
Under the watchful eye of his Nanny Louise, who is one of our trained wardens, five year old Harry has now completed four shifts and his eleven year old brother Riley has been on one. Harry, a pupil at Hemsby Primary School, gave up most of his half-term holiday to help the seals. He is fascinated by them and has been telling visitors that even though they are ‘Horsey’ seals you can’t ride them, that the seal mothers only have one pup, that pups weigh 2 stone when they are born and their mums only feed them for three weeks.
He has walked long distances in all weathers and loved every minute. He is now back at school with tales to tell his teachers and school friends. Great work Harry.
PS the minimum age to become a fully trained warden under supervision is 16
