After a couple of days evading our FoHS Rescue Team, a grey seal pup covered in green monofilament netting was finally caught and cut free. The first day they were told about it but couldn’t find it. The pup was seen again the following day, but it was too close to the water and got away. Then one of our wardens, Hannah, spotted it on the third day and this time the team managed to catch it and cut off the netting which was wrapped round it’s whole body, front flippers and around its nose and mouth! Happily, they were able to release it back into the sea, minus the net.
