Protecting the dunes at Winterton

The dunes at Winterton have seen an increase in footfall over the Christmas period, especially in two areas where members of the public have been using them to get to the beach from past the fisherman’s huts.

Our rescue team have been very busy over the last few weeks. They’ve received many calls on our emergency phone from concerned members of the public and have undertaken over 30 callouts for reports of sick or injured seals.
